The journal brings together notes on painting, materials, conservation and interiors. The articles explain how a work develops, how to look at it and which decisions help it settle naturally into a space.

A journal about life around painting
The Abeille Gallery journal connects studio practice with everyday questions: how colour changes with light, what separates a glaze from an opaque layer, how to choose scale and which conditions support long-term care. The aim is not to turn art into a list of rules, but to offer clear references for closer looking.
Articles combine observations from painting with a conservation perspective. This makes room for gesture and composition as well as supports, pigments, varnish and ageing. Technical topics are presented with appropriate limits and do not replace direct assessment of an individual work.
Accessible reading and practical references
Each article includes an automatic table of contents, publication and modification dates, author information and related reading. Frequently asked questions collect common points, while AI summary links open the page in selected assistants with a prepared prompt.
Interior guidance begins with the actual artwork and room. Scale, light, viewing distance and surrounding materials usually matter more than literal colour matching. In conservation, everyday prevention is generally more valuable than late intervention.
Topics from the studio
The journal will grow with notes on process, selection, hanging, framing, transport and care. It will also introduce collections and explain decisions that are not always visible in a final photograph.
